Do you dislike your job or do you dislike yourself? Not trusting yourself leads to not trusting others and destroying relationships. You should follow your heart and a fulfilling path, not your reason and a safe path. Not listening to your heart is a choice, your choice, and it is a betrayal that destroys yourself over time. You can't drown your problems and feelings with money (cars, holidays) and leisure (gaming, liquor), their effects wear off quickly and distract you from working on yourself. Drinking alcohol is stealing sunshine from tomorrow and having it today, it gives you more problems than solutions. You are annoyed at others for not listening to your good advice yet you don't listen to them either. If you are a calm and measured person and eating a mushroom makes you angry, is it your true feelings coming out? Remove your inner lies and barriers, speak your mind. Make things right with yourself using the Hawaiian Hoʻoponopono: I'm sorry, please forgive me, I forgive you, thank you, I love you. Learning to perform at a job is not a important as learning to love yourself.
Jonathan ChoiProcrastination doesn’t beat the long-term satisfaction of not living in a cardboard box because you missed every deadline ever. Procrastination is not about time management but about mood management. Clear the distractions and reduce ambiguity by break the vague work down into manageable chunks. Have a conversation with your future self, realize you are the same person and stop treating him so badly.
Eric BarkerSurround yourself with people who’ve already achieved what you’re working toward, your goals will seem possible but also inevitable. Talking with people ahead of you gives you the appropriate mindset. If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re probably in the wrong room.
Codie SanchezYou are capable of more than your mind understands. Each top performer has found his own way to succeed, find your own. A meaningful "No" becomes leverage, stick to your true self no matter your worth. Build your hearth to handle both highs and lows of life, embrace your real feelings. The pursuit is greater than the prize, satisfaction is simpler than you expect it to. Privilege is pressure and perfectionism will cause you stress which won't be beneficial.
