Go where you’re treated best. Traveling will make you see what is happening in the world. Go where there is a positive momentum to see what works today. The longer you live overseas, the better you’ll feel living overseas. Spend long holidays in another country or follow the sun every 4 months. This is not running away, this is family protection and freedom planning. Don’t exempt your home country from judgment, you complain but you don’t act. No country is guaranteed to be good in 10 years, bad things can happen anywhere. Live where it’s best today, you’ll be free to move tomorrow if somewhere else is better. Get multiple residence permits or even citizenship, you may have tax benefits and it helps you diversify your portfolio against every scenario. You can take your kids with you either with homeschooling or having a tutor and he’ll easily reach high school level when it’s time for high school.
Andrew HendersonPlay the long-game and stop underestimating what it can do. Express gratitude for people who invest in you and invest back in others. Like stocks, personal growth compounds with each experience so invest in yourself early. When you start, it's fine job hopping a bit until you find a company worth staying long-term. Moving around gives you a broader context, a more diverse group of co-workers, a better salary, and a comfort with risk. It takes more than technical skills because they get obsolete, focus on adding adds things to your skill bag. Staying put gives you a depth of perspective, purpose, long-term relationships, and raise to leadership.
Brian ChambersThe end goal of money is joy, focus on sharing experiences rather than owning things and on starting a family with the right women rather than trying to increase your wealth. Safety makes things better, respect is present out of kindness in Thailand and people are chiller thus reducing social tensions. Healthcare is important, you can enter in a Thai hospital at any time and be out under 1 hour with quality treatment at a reasonable price. Get involved locally, show locals you're here for the long term by owning physical assets to be considered like a partner rather than a foreigner. Seek service obsession; "No" doesn't exist for Thai people so they'll find a way and go the extra mile because they are caring and dedicated to your well-being.
