Meritocracy has never existed. There are more young people and they study longer, but inequalities persist because social origins are still decisive, especially in France. Cultural capital weighs in the balance and is specific to the family, as are economic capital and location. Since private lessons are paid for, the poor are still discriminated against. Real estate capital is the main source of wealth in France and is held by boomers, so you have to be a lucky grandson to get a bite out of it. The few notable trans-classes serve as an alibi to say that willpower is enough even though that is not the case. This illusion of meritocracy is useful. It is better to inherit than to deserve. Telling the so-called elite that their success is due to merit does not encourage them to redistribute. The political utility of meritocracy is to make the majority accept an unfair economic and social system. Do we really want a society where talent rhymes with success, leaving the less talented on the sidelines? Or rather a society that is united by principle regardless of aptitude? Pierre-Michel Menger said "Meritocracy is a problematic social system that reproduces, legitimizes, and naturalizes inequality because it assumes that gifted people who care little for others deserve higher social status, education, occupation and income by virtue of natural gifts". Political discourse takes on a different color if we say that it is better to inherit than to deserve.
Salomé SaquéMoney makes you happy. Generate, save, invest. 1 million has value because we know what it represents as work. Do not be caught up in opulence, it leads to a drop in work. We are always the poor and the rich of another. Always have the hatred of going further and pay for the best comfort rather than trivialities. Meritocracy is the key but it has never existed in France. Rich and poor are no longer aware of the other and one of them has no hope and is ready to do harm. Entrepreneurship was a way to get by but only 1% of entrepreneurs in France have not inherited or reproduced their social circle. Without hope or help, we quickly fall into madness. The little guy always has the information last and is the turkey of the stuffing. You are a former poor person, not a nouveau riche. The opinion of those who have done nothing does not matter. Be stingy with yourself but not with your loved ones, pleasure is in sharing. Love winning to push your abilities. Life is a competition with others. You have to know how to sell yourself even if it means lying a little. Exaggeration works to sell, you have to tell a story that gives emotions. Imposing a rigor on yourself that others consider futile allows you to remember your modest origins and remind yourself that you are the one who decides. Dare to build something you love, failure is always in a corner of the room. Those who succeed are losers who tried one more time. Look for imbalance rather than balance, work a lot then rest completely. You have to love to be good, have passion. A startup is born from a personal problem for which no one is already selling the solution. Focus on your strengths and what you really like. You have to take the courage to dare at the risk of regretting it on your death bed. Young people no longer believe. Everyone does not realize the impact they can have. Succeed to show those who remain satisfied with their situation what is possible. Sometimes it is your loved ones who prevent you from getting started because they fear what they do not know and blame you for having more ambition than you are ("Are we not good enough?"). We are in a society of solitude which negatively impacts health. The most interesting people are those who have suffered because they know what the harsh reality is and do not give up. Reading biographies allows you to live several lives. Our politicians have no legitimacy or decency towards the people. Politics is a world of hypocrites without experience. Life takes on meaning when you change the world at your scale. The people will always be right, when will the revolution of our generation take place?
