Most of life is hell but it's unseen on social media. The obsession of outperforming yourself can't be translated into words, it must be lived. If you have some pride in yourself, stop playing a character. No matter how hard you improve, it's not permanent, you must always be on. There is no passion nor motivation, it's doing daily. Do you want to be remembered as an enjoyer or a doer? It's all sticks and no carrot. Conventions are for lazy people that know what to do but don't do it because it sucks. Stay hard, not soft. People are too comfortable in their misery. You know what to do but don't do it. The cure to laziness only works one day at a time. A strong mind is developed over years of suffering, not inherited at birth. There is no life hack, you grow by doing it over and over. Build your will. People fail because they seek their purpose, meaning, and happiness. You are both the scientist and the lab rat. Stop living at 10% of your willpower, courage, and soul. The willpower fades once you stop doing. If it's already hard (fat, sick, hurt, sad), why make it harder? Maybe you're comfortable being that bad, in which case it must be respected, but deep down nobody likes that. Something in you has to wake up, otherwise it's over for you. Explore your inner self and grow or enjoy the shitty life you want. It sucks and it will continue to suck. You know what to do, why aren't you doing it? Flip the switch. If you lack talent, outwork. Your close ones won't necessarily follow you but if so, give them everything they need so they leave you alone. Don't please people at your expense, otherwise you stop living. Don't compromise you. You do 99% of the work alone, it is unseen real passion, it is dark. No one can motivate you but yourself. This can't be explained, only lived. Is the horrible life one of hard work or lazy comfort? Being misunderstood is frustrating. You are and will always be nobody. Willpower is a haunting force. No one ever died from an emotion. Go inward to go forward. Create a Mona Lisa daily by blocking yourself from distractions every day. Painters can't think about their next paintings while working on the current one. You can only figure out the right pain if you spend enough time in your brain. Don't Google it, think about who you are. You'll never fill your list because you don't have a list. Listen to your inner voice and talk back. Be kind to yourself, but where will that get you? When you work every day, you win pretty fast. Spend time making sense to you. You don't start with the victories, you start with the shits.
David GogginsYou'll change along the way. Longevity compounds returns, you'll gain as much over your last year than all the years prior. The more you do, the better you get. Decrease time between starting and getting serious about it. Go pro early, do what it takes to succeed over time. Be ready to wait a decade. The only personal brand that lasts is you. Benefit from today's direct distribution. Shift identity. Transform your brand over time as you transform yourself. Embrace your north star despite critics. Have a work ethic. Outwork your competitors and people ahead of you even without rewards. Work double-time, start earlier finish after. Expand niches. Broaden what you're associated with. Do well, show how you've done it. Monetize tastefully. Monetize your brand with high leverage without changing yourself. It must be more of what you are, something you're already associated with. Prefer reputation over money. Make the clickbait true. Make crazy claims then back them up. Double down. Re-invest to compound. People won't understand your goals because you'll be above, trust your vision. Care for packaging. When people click on a thumbnail, the beginning of the video must match. Be resourceful. Use your imagination, use what you've got, you can do stuff with low/no budget. Resourcefulness beats resources. Start with what you have. Be humble. You'll suck and fail many times. You are a niche. A personal brand must be true to yourself and all your combined interests. Speak about what you know, it makes you special. Don't tell people what they should do, tell people what you know. Teach, don't preach. Talk about what you want, how you want. The closer the brand matches you, the stronger it is. Choose sponsors. Only promote sponsors you believe in and wants to win. Promote things that are a minimal changes for you. No hacks. Use platforms like a normal person, not like trendy influencers. Don't base your brand on algorithms. Leverage. Get exposure from people who have and exploit media: record once, spread infinitely. Sell things that scale, products, not 1:1 consulting. Outsource your weaknesses. Partner with experts with experience, you'll both be winners. Embrace controversy. Every exposure is a chance to shine. Be adaptable. Platforms changes and you must benefit from that or at least experience. Be accessible. Post content, show some behind the scenes.
