Capitalism is comfort, alienation, exploitation, and improving the standard of living of the masses. Capitalism devours the soul of everything by associating a monetary value to it, it has drowned celestial ecstasies in selfish calculation, it is what remains once beliefs have collapsed leaving the consumer alone and without culture. How long can a culture persist without novelty? A capitalist lifestyle and mental illness are linked, yet the treatment of the consequences is privatized. Since when do we accept that there are so many depressives? Knowing that things are going badly and knowing that nothing can be done about it depresses, even the youngest, makes the masses depressively hedonistic (flourishing in possession and consumption to hide their inner sadness). This liberal communism imposes the problem and the solution, it bets everything on flexibility and permanent happiness which results in too much: we become depressive pleasure-seekers. Capitalism transforms hope into dangerous thought, it can absorb everything, even its anti-capitalist critics on which it feeds. Capitalism wants to pass itself off as something natural, empirical, necessary, but it is based on the myth of inexhaustible resources and a market that solves all problems. It is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism, even though it satisfies neither the left nor the right, partly because of the failure of communism. To fight capitalism is to participate in it. All is well as long as there is consumption. Discipline and motivation are gone, causing the end of personal projects. The more parents work, the more the children's environment replaces them (teacher, system). Professional and personal lives are diluted, the hierarchy is hidden in bureaucracy. Symbols of accomplishment matter more than the accomplishments themselves, students must pass exams rather than learn useful things. Bureaucracy is crude because we find ourselves faced with people who say they cannot make decisions themselves and that we must refer to a pre-established decision.
Mark FisherWhat is global has erased its particularities. Nothing is universal, everything is specific to a culture. A European is characterized by nostalgia for a Europe transfigured by legend. Unlike Arabs, Chineses, and others, the European soul is characterized by the very elevated image of women and femininity as well as a certain vision of love. There is not just one single and undifferentiated man, otherwise our only common point would animal basics: feeding and reproducing. It is spirituality, culture, the arts, the creations of the mind that distinguish us from each other and create diversity. To change the world, we must change Man. Today the victim is eternal, so is the culprit, whereas before there was neither compassion nor pity for the vanquished. Western repentance leads to the erasure of all cultures for the benefit of globalization. It is normal to consider that Muslim proselytism is unacceptable in France, but we must also accept that Western proselytism has no place in India or Africa. The desire to impose democracy everywhere is a desire for progressive conquest, an ethno-centric Western totalitarianism, the ultimate white supremacy. Being attached to one's roots does not mean having contempt for other cultures, it makes one aware of oneself and allows one to recognize the dignity of other peoples. The spirit of Enlightenment and progressivism is considering that my culture is the culture, which is pretentious and unworthy. Colonization was carried out in the name of progress, progressives need humility. Do not seek to conquer but to preserve. Evil will be defeated the day when so-called civilized men come down from their imaginary pedestal and recognize that they themselves are a variety of indigenous.
