Failing feels more real than living in autopilot. How long do you care about people once they're dead? That's how long others will for you. Regarding family, you'll be forgotten in 2 generations. Listen to yourself and take the risk, wear what you want, eat what you want, date who you want, work on what you want. If you zoom out far enough you can't see the earth. Once you've passed a big wall, any following wall feels more doable. The life you want is on the other side of a few hard conversations you're too afraid to have. Having nothing for you means having nothing to loose. Commitment means getting rid of alternatives. Unmade decisions are heavy because we're afraid of someone's judgement. Get rid of useless thoughts stealing your time and focus. Blaming someone for your situation gives them control over you. Act 7x faster than others by deciding/acting by the end of the day rather than the end of the week. Value the opportunity cost of your time. Being scared is good fuel, be scared of being a piece of shit. People go way harder with a gun on their head. People don't think about you at all. Use your insecurities to get what you want, play your hand. Prefer the short fail of action than the long fail of inaction. It's not "What do I want?" but "What do I hate least?". Fear the regret of not trying harder. Treat your work like an athlete does. Spending a day on something is nothing, measure in 100s of hours. The better you become, the hotter the woman is the red dress becomes. Distractions scales with you. Keep your yes-muscle for what matters. Poison drives harder than positivism. Success is the only revenge, cast a shadow so big you forget others, everything else is petty. You don't control your life if you try to beat others rather than yourself, who's game are you trying to win? You've already achieved goals you said would make you happy. Happiness isn't if I do X, it's while I do X. Don't pursue happiness, be happy in the pursuit. 20 to 40 years old are the golden years: energy, friends, money, health. Think about your 80 years old self in order to enjoy your youth. Open-up a few times a day to be present, embrace the moment, enjoy what happens. Being mindful even applies to when you drink coffee with a good view. Enjoy the "Ah, this is fucking cool!" moments. People root until you succeed. Others' distaste means you're on top of their mountain. If they insult you, it's on them, as they're frustrated to see they failed. Don't bend to the hate. Self-love means holding yourself to the highest standards and go all-in ruthlessly to be the best 80 years old ever. Don't cap your own potential. Accept the given circumstances yet go beyond. Live like your 80 years old best version. Train your "Stick to it" muscle, few people have one, the bar is low. Most goals are attainable if you expend the time frame, but don't let that lessen your focus. Doing the plan isn't hard, sticking to it is. I'll happily give others sympathy for their struggles, but is that what they need or want? The output of work isn't money but skills and lessons learned. Don't worry about over-training until you're jacked, by then your body will have adapted and can handle heavier loads. Judge on actions, not thoughts. Don't romanticize the bad times. Uncertainty makes things worthwhile. You can appear 2 to 5x smarter by just preparing for 2 to 5h. You love trying hard once you get a glance at it, avoid distractions to do so. You don't need perfect condition to start, starting is the perfect condition. Working gets you in the mood to work. Do what is required, no one else will do the work. You won't regret working harder. Make your average Tuesday look like what you want most of your life to look like. Work means pain for many, for you it's growth. Saying "You're right!" to critics shuts them down. The cynics get to be right, the optimists get to be rich. Don't play loosers' games. Intelligence means rate of learning, learning means having a new behavior in the same situation.
