Being kind is being charming, considerate, pleasant. By extension, being kind is considering others, respecting them, thinking of the common good before oneself by showing self-denial, extending without expecting anything in return. However, saying that someone is kind is sometimes a synonym for harmless or too simple, which taints kindness. It is normal to wonder if one is too kind, but one should rather ask oneself with whom to be kind. Thus the community can be built around kindness so that religion or geographical proximity. Distilling kindness calls for kindness in return.
Kriss PapillonThere is no fact, only interpretations. Beauty has the merit of bringing us back to appearances and what appears is, unlike what is hidden. Beauty reminds us that the true world is the one we see, not the one next to it or after. Beauty brings us back to the surface and prevents us from falling into the depths, into the void. We do not want to seek to know what is hidden behind appearances but to take appearances as truth. There is no permanence of ideas, the world is given in its chaos and its finitude. Consenting to this destiny gives existence its beauty. We seek beauty to cure ourselves of the temptation to always seek truth, rationality. We have art in order not to die of the truth. The characteristic of beauty is that it cures us of the temptation to seek something else beyond experience, we do not have to look for where it comes from, it is there. Absolute mystery, pure presence.
Friedrich NietzscheWhat you try to control controls you. You can't control what can't be controlled (external circumstances), be ready for anything. One can't impose is force and control over the world nor others. We can't even control our body completely, only influence it. Trying to control what we can't can even make things worse. It is futile to control the outcome of things, who knows what's good or bad? Even us for ourselves. The paradox is that, by trying to control what can't be, we give up our behavior and happiness to something unreliable. Trying to control means getting attached, means getting controlled. This applies to your kids as well, you can't control them. Peace of mind and security doesn't come from control but from cultivating inner resilience, adaptability and embracing life's unpredictability. Free yourself from unnecessary suffering like stoics. I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become. Difficulty comes from our lack of confidence.
