Entrepreneurs seeks tactics but actually need to break free from fear of failure. Culture matters more than strategy. Don't fall in love with the feeling of quitting one thing for another, stick with something for a long period of time. Your business isn't what you think, gym owners are in sales and marketing while plumbers are in recruiting and training. Everything is scalable, you just don't know how yet. To get a rare outcome, you must do a rare level of work. The cost of change is a 20% loss while doing nothing still returns a 5% increase, chase impact over perfection. Recruiting and training is expensive without guaranteed returns, it shouldn't be your first growth option. There is no rush to grow, build your own and only thing over decades. You get what you negotiate, not what you deserve. Having a strong alternative gives you better leverage, and therefore better results. The first number given heavily anchors the rest of negotiation. What isn't written doesn't matter and never happens. Grow faster by setting your default deadline to end of day instead of end of week or month. Everything is trainable but is it worth the time? The money is in the hook as most people will only see the headline so grab them by the throat. Pinpoint a specific pain only your customer relate to. Make it stupid and simple, your prospects are likely in a rush and don't care.
Alex HormoziHigh standards start at the top, be demanding in order to get extraordinary results. Transparent leadership with one-to-many communication gives employees a greater sense of ownership and makes teaching easier. Prefer promoting direct emails from any employees over biased status reports to increase the likelihood of hitting your goals. Do your actions bring your company closer to its bigger goal? Bold missions bring bold people. Fewer layers reduce friction and places to hide. Your brand is your reputation, adjust your behavior instead of changing your logo. What do you do that isn't aligned with what great leaders do? All it takes is one bad thing to discredit your entire brand.
Leila HormoziProductivity comes in seasons, sometimes you work 4 hours per day and sometimes 16. Consistent 12 to 16 hour workdays is not personality trait but a sign of major disfunction. Work like a lion (burst-focused, high-energy work), not a cow (long hours, predictable output). Establish who you are, what you do, and why you're on social media. Social media is not some kind of lottery, it is a skill that can be learned. Give something to download for free and extend it into a product or service. You can learn any skill faster than anyone in the past. Humans are tool builders and deep generalists unlike animals who thrive in a specific niche. You aren’t passionate about a specific skill, you are passionate about creation.
