If you work nine-to-five at a company and sleep the healthy 8 hours per night, you are left with 8 hours for yourself. It is up to you to decide what to do with it: build your business, learn an instrument, get angry watching the news, etc. You could argue that you have less than 8 hours if you take daily life imperatives into account: cooking, eating, cleaning, commuting, sports, friends, etc. While it is certain that you can't avoid these, you have the power to optimize them your way. To what extent are you willing to free your time? Remove: less commute time by living closer to work or working from home more, less cooking time by batch cooking or prepared meal delivery, less sports by time by doing high MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) activities. Combine: play sports then cook and eat with your friends, walk during desk work, make the most of your commute. The reason why you struggle to free your time despite knowing how is that you don't have a meaningful thing to pursue. Otherwise you would already have organized your life around it, wouldn't you?
