Don't give the polite public "Yes, you?" answer, be honest and wordy. How are you deep down, behind the mask you know you are wearing and the mask you are unaware of: angry, numb, exited, sad, hopeful, torn, stressed, lost? Acknowledge the feelings you have buried for so long, discover what you are really about. Don't you feel shame once you realize that you have been lying to yourself for years? How could you not let your emotions run the show in the first place? The person who is only sad inside is worse off than the one who cries because the latter is aware of his suffering. It is only after you have acknowledged how you feel that you can understand why you feel that way and decide what you want to feel instead.
